This is How We Explore Experiential Learning
We are curious. We want to experience more and dig deeper. Much of what we do stretches outside the classroom, being a Scholar means we have access to resources to make it all happen.
- 43 countries are visited by Scholars annually in education abroad programs
- 40% of Scholars travel abroad at least once during their time in Schreyer
- 100% of Scholars participate in research or creative endeavors through the thesis

Success as a Scholar is not a solitary pursuit. The relationships we nurture with faculty, Schreyer staff, and peers are what help us thrive inside and outside the classroom.
- 48% of our graduates go directly to graduate or professional school
- 52% of our graduates head into the workforce, which also includes post-grad internships, fellowships, or service opportunities
- 21 Schreyer Scholars have earned Fulbright U.S. Student Awards since 2017
- 9 Scholars have received the prestigious Astronaut Scholarship since 2016
- 19 Penn State students have received the highly competitive Goldwater Scholarship since 2017 — all of them were Schreyer Scholars
