Your Thesis Checklist
Before you turn in your thesis, you will want to double-check your thesis against our checklist to make sure it is correct.
Please be sure that:
- Spelling is correct throughout document.
- You include the department(s) in which you are earning honors.
- Title page is formatted exactly as it should be. We have provided the following sample title pages as a guide:
- Color-coded sample title and signatory pages
- Plain sample title and signatory pages
- Color-coded interdisciplinary honors sample title and signatory pages
- Plain interdisciplinary honors sample title and signatory pages
- Text is double-spaced and single-sided.
- 1.5-inch left margin throughout the document.
- You have an original signature of your thesis supervisor and honors adviser (and second faculty reader if necessary).
- You have the $20 binding fee for those graduating in fall 2006 and after.
- Key words are noted.
- An academic vita is submitted at the end of the thesis.
- An abstract is submitted after the title and signatory pages.
- You check in advance with both your honors adviser(s) and thesis supervisor(s) to find out if they will need a copy of your thesis. The SHC is not responsible for making copies of your thesis for you or your readers.
- Unbound copy of your thesis is ready by 4:00 p.m. on the Monday of the last week of classes (Summer deadlines may vary from this, so please refer to the important dates listed on the SHC Web site at: shc.psu.edu/students/dates.cfm).
